Safeguarding Children in Sport: Sports clubs and facilities are used by hundreds of children and young people who need to be kept safe. This course examines the role of people who come into contact with children through sport. It describes abuse and considers what can be done to ensure that abuse is recognised, stopped and prevented.
Neglect: Neglect is the persistent failure to meet a childs basic physical and/or psychological needs such that it is likely to result in the serious impairment of health or development. Its also the most common form of child abuse.
